A high level meeting held at PMIU Lahore Office to discuss the commencement of Social Mobilization operation as part of the Education Component of Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP). The project is contributing to the effective implementation of ECE Policy 2017 in 11 districts of south Punjab. As part of the project, 3400 ECCE rooms are being refurbished with provision of age-appropriate furniture, reading books, ECCE kits. Teachers and school leadership is also being trained on ECE pedagogy and administration. The project is also focusing on demand generation of quality ECCE and its allied thematic areas which include Child Safeguarding and Gender Equity in Education. Through Social Mobilization parents and local communities will be engaged for awareness raising on these areas; which will result in improved enrollment in ECCE and public awareness on factors contributing to Early Childhood Development & Care.
